• A jury on March 27 found Kevin R. DeGroot, 43, Seymour, guilty of four counts of battery or threat to a law officer and one count of resisting an officer causing substantial bodily harm. On June 6, Judge William Kussel sentenced him to six years in prison, followed by six years of extended supervision with conditions.

• After a preliminary hearing June 7, Judge Katherine Sloma ruled that prosecutors did not prove probable cause and dismissed without prejudice charges against Maddison M. Sodergren, 26, of Green Bay, who had been charged with taking and driving a vehicle without consent and two counts of bail jumping.

• Nathan W. Hagen, 35, Shawano, was charged June 3 with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated (fourth offense) and misdemeanor bail jumping. Kussel set a $1,000 cash bond and adjourned Hagen’s initial appearance until July 18.

• Nathaniel M. Fabry, 35, Shawano, was charged June 3 with substantial battery intending bodily harm and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct. Kussel set a $500 cash bond and scheduled a status conference for July 29.
