Bouche, UWL baseball team bounced in world series

Oconto Falls High School graduate Tucker Bouche and the UW-La Crosse baseball team were eliminated from the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III World Series after a pair of losses over the weekend.

Bouche pitched in the team’s 8-6 loss to Lynchburg on June 2 and 7-2 setback to Salisbury on June 3.

Bouche retired the only batter he faced with a strikeout in the game against Lynchburg. He then worked 2⅓ innings against Salisbury, striking out two of the 10 batters he faced. He allowed one hit and hit one batter.

UWL wrapped up the season with a 36-13 overall record.

Bouche finished the year with the top earned run average (2.57) among qualified pitchers on the team. He made the second-most appearances (18) and covered 35 innings, striking out 26 batters along the way.
