Beverly “Bev” Kratz

Beverly “Bev” Kratz, 83, Oconto Falls, died Friday morning, June 10, 2022, at St. Clare Hospital, Oconto Falls. She was born April 7, 1939, to Elmer and Elsie (Hansen) Everard. Bev grew up in Oconto Falls where she attend Degantown School, graduating Oconto Falls High School with the Class of 1957. As a young women, she worked at the original hospital as a nurse’s aide.

On Aug. 23, 1958, she married Norman Kratz at St. Anthony Catholic Church, and they had four children. For many years, Bev worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Keiser until retiring in 1994. She was a longtime and active member of St. Anthony Catholic Parish. Bev will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend who dedicated her life to others.

Survivors are her three sons, Randy (Julie) Kratz, Rick Kratz, Jeff (Sharon) Kratz, all of Oconto Falls, 13 grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Kratz and Michael (Courtney) Kratz; Michaela (Jason) Geurts, Jennifer (Jason) Magyar and Kaila (Ryan) Gusick; Kennedy and Carly Kratz; Alex and Nate (special friend Abby Heiderscheit) Kratz, Josh (Kendra) Montie, Zach (Jill) Montie, Jake (Lizzy) Montie and Breanna Montie; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Germaine Meunier, Oconto Falls; one brother-in-law, Keith Wirtz, Oconto Falls; numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norm, in 2016; daughter, Debbie, in 1988; five sisters-in-law, Judy Wirtz, twins Bonnie Clausen and Elizabeth “Betty” Kratz, Kathleen Kratz and infant Margaret.

Visitation will be held after 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls until the time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Fr. Ted Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery. Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls is serving the Kratz family.

The Kratz family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff, especially Jen, as well as Unity Hospice for their care and concern shown Bev during their time together.
