Northern Division

Aniwa 13

Wittenberg 10

Aniwa earned a high-scoring win over Wittenberg on May 8 in Aniwa.

Nolan Hoppe finished with six hits, including two doubles and a homer, to lead Aniwa at the plate. Wade Farmer homered and had two hits, while Hunter Gipp and Cory Mortenson also posted two hits each.

Hoppe also picked up the win on the mound. James Tomson was dealt the loss for Wittenberg.

Noah Cole homered and had four hits for Wittenberg, while Preston Bagley also clubbed a homer. Keegan Miller chipped in three hits.

Eland 14

Hatley 1

Eland rolled to a win over Hatley on May 8 in Eland.

Tyler Nelson picked up the win for Eland, while Tanner Kocher suffered the loss.

Eland outhit Hatley 6-3.

Elderon 16

Birnamwood 8

Elderon doubled up Birnamwood to start its season with a win on May 8 in Birnamwood.

South Central Division

New London 2

Plover 1

New London edged Plover on May 8 in Plover.

Chevn Aus tossed six scoreless innings to pick up the win over New London.

Dylan Moeller drove in both of the team’s runs, while Landen Guyette and Austin Warren had two hits each.

Derek Lemmens had three hits for Plover. Zack Hintz was dealt the loss on the mound.

Scandinavia 19

Green Lake 9 (7 inn.)

Scandinavia eased to a win over Green Lake on May 8 in Scandinavia.

Caleb Bembenek drove in six runs on four hits to power Scandinavia’s offense. Jesse Dickert homered, drove in two runs and finished with three hits, while Gavin Erbes also drove in two runs on three hits.

Sterling Lutz picked up the win on the hill after striking out seven batters across six innings.

Carter Rhode took the loss for Green Lake. Damien Netzler drove in three runs on two hits, while Jordan Bucholz and Cole Boge had two hits each.

Scandinavia 12

New London 1

Scandinavia opened its season win a lopsided win over New London on May 1 in New London.

Sterling Lutz struck out seven batters across seven innings to earn the win on the mound.

Joe Strigel led Scandinavia with three hits, while Gavin Erbes and Braden Hunkins had two hits each.

Colby Schmude drove in New London’s run. Myles Parker was the losing pitcher.

Weymont 16

Plover 6 (8 inn.)

Weymont knocked off Plover on May 1 in Weymont.

Alex Niles was credited with four RBIs for Weymont. Tyler Wetzel drove in a pair, while Adam Krause had three hits and scored four runs.

Wetzel earned the win after pitching five innings. Zack Hintz was dealt the loss for Plover.

Plover’s Levi Baerwolf drove in two runs.
