Another final pre-trial was scheduled in relation to an alleged drug homicide back on Sept. 3, 2021.

Stephany French, 27, of Green Bay, was charged Feb. 1 with one count of first-degree reckless homicide by delivering drugs, one count of manufacturing or delivering less than three grams of heroin, one count of manufacturing or delivering less than or equal to three grams of amphetamine, one count of theft from a person or corpse and one misdemeanor count of duty to aid a victim or report a crime in connection with the 2021 incident at the Mohican North Star Casino Resort in the Town of Bartelme.

During the final pre-trial on Sept. 21, attorney Eric Maciolek, who is representing French, said that his office recently received discovery and that French had made a request to the court.

“I need some time to digest that,” said Maciolek. “My client also asked to file a bond motion, which I will do.”

French is currently being held on a $750,000 cash bond. Shawano-Menominee County Circuit Court Judge Katherine Sloma said that when Maciolek is ready, that he can call the courthouse and schedule a bond hearing.

Shawano-Menominee County District Attorney Gregory Parker said that discovery was sent in May and it contains a four terrabyte external hard drive of digital files.

“That was compiled by Detective (Chris) Gamm and he worked with the defense counsel to get that taken care of,” said Parker.

Sloma set a final pre-trial for Nov. 16 at 9 a.m.
