Allan C. Luniak

Allan C. “Bud” Luniak, 87, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. Al was born on Sept. 21, 1932, in Shawano, a son of the late Frank and Ida (Bucholz) Luniak. He graduated from Marion High School and the UW-Madison with a degree in civil engineering. Following his graduation, Al served his country in the U.S. Navy.

In his earlier years, Al enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing up north with friends. He also loved his regular weekly golf and sheephead game with his buddies. Al worked for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for many years, and also as an engineer at various local private companies.

He is survived by his special friend, Marilyn Richards; his niece, Susan (Larry) Reinke; and great-nieces, Jennifer (Eric) Sarauer and Amy (Ryan) Mikel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Jean Luniak and Melda Hellestad.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
