Packers offense continues to impress despite early game blunders

Through five games of the 2024-25 NFL season, the Green Bay Packers have totaled 1,963 yards, which ranks third in the entire NFL.

Of those, 1,139 yards have come through the pass, while 824 of them have come on the ground. While the rushing numbers may be a little skewed with Malik Willis playing in two games this season, Green Bay has done a great job of building a strong dual threat offense this season.

Packers Offense vs. Cardinals Defense

Jordan Love is back. The quarterback returned from his knee injury after a two-game absence.

His return has been up and down. He’s thrown six touchdown passes but also four interceptions since returning from his knee injury.

Sunday’s interception was the worst of the bunch. Love was backed up into his own end zone, held the ball, and tried to throw it away while losing his balance from pressure he faced.

The Green Bay Packers are back above .500 after beating the Los Angeles Rams 24-19 at SoFi Stadium thanks to a late defensive stand.

Jordan Love and company will return home for the next two weeks, starting with a showdown against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals may have saved their season on Sunday with an upset win over the San Francisco 49ers on the road.

The Packers are 3-2 but need to start stacking solid performances together. The Cardinals are an interesting matchup for them, and here is what we’re looking at for how the Packers get to 4-2.

Pack get back on track with win in Los Angeles

The Green Bay Packers season got back on track, as the defense led the team to a 24-19 victory on Oct. 6 over the Los Angeles Rams in Southern California.

The story for the Packers was once again the defense, as the NFL’s leading turnover-causing defense took the ball away twice from Matt Stafford and the Rams to bring the season total to 14.

The signing of Xavier McKinney in the offseason may be one of the best moves of late for the Green Bay Packers.

He recorded his fifth consecutive interception in the Packers Week 5 matchup against the Rams, becoming the first player since 1970 to record five consecutive interceptions in the first five weeks on a new team.

After playing college ball at Alabama, he was picked by the New York Giants in the second round of the 2020 draft.

On Mach 14, 2024, McKinney signed a four-year, $67 million contract with the Packers.

Comeback falls short against Vikings

It was a tumultuous return to action for Jordan Love, as his four touchdown passes were overshadowed by three interceptions in Green Bay’s 31-29 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 29.

Finding itself down 28-0, Green Bay outscored Minnesota 29-3 from the 15-second mark in the second quarter but was unable to recover a desperation onside kick attempt with 56 seconds left in the game and dropped the NFC North matchup.

In his first game back since spraining his MCL in Week 1, Packers quarterback Jordan Love registered his best statistical game as a pro.

After Malik Willis led Green Bay to two wins in Love’s absence, many eyes were on Love in the big NFC North matchup against the Vikings, this contest being as close to a must-win game as one can be within the first four weeks of the season.

The Green Bay Packers are forced to lick their wounds following a loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.

They trailed by as many as 28 points and looked like they were in a different weight class than the Vikings through three quarters.

Ultimately, they did put up a fight, before falling 31-29.

This week, they’ll face the Los Angeles Rams — led by Green Bay’s old nemesis, Matthew Stafford.

Stafford and the Rams have been competitive through four weeks of the season.

Kraft trying to channel ‘inner Bavaro’

Green Bay tight end Tucker Kraft was drafted by the Packers in the 2023 draft. Against the Vikings on Sept. 29, he caught six passes for 53 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown catch.
