Bonduel 2, Oconto 0
Bonduel won the regional title in a pitchers dual between a pair of freshmen with a 2-0 win over Oconto.
Maya Bruckner for Oconto and Emery Thompson of Bonduel each pitched outstanding games, retiring the first nine batters.
Bonduel broke through for a run in the fourth inning as Tatum Sporisky singled, advanced to second on an error, third on a wild pitch and scored on a bunt single by Jayla Reinke.
Oconto recorded its first runner of the game with a two-out walk in the sixth, followed by Oconto’s only hit, but Thompson got out of the inning with a pop up to first.
Bonduel tallied again in the bottom of sixth as Taylor Rank ripped a two-out double to score Gracyn Wudtke from first.
Thompson gave up only two baserunners and struck out seven to get the win.
Clintonville 2, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 1
The Chargers ended their 18-10 season with a 2-1 loss to Clintonville in the Division 2 regional title game.
In the regular season, Wittenberg-Birnamwood placed third in the CWC East with a 10-4 record.
